The SiD is the latest variable voltage and variable wattage APV from Smoktech with a brushed aluminum conical top shaped body style and 2 line OLED 7 feature display. Users of the Zmax chipset will find the single button menu system very familiar minus the 8th menu feature of switching between mean and RMS. The single tube design will accommodate most flat and button top 18650 batteries and has a native 510 / eGo connection with outside threading and a deep and wide well that will take even the widest of clearomizers by removing the ring surrounding the connection. It’s shape and size is very similar to another well known intelligent vaping device, so much so that the parts are interchangeable. It does come in a variety of color choices with all but silver having a rubber like slip resistant finish.

Compatibility: Whether intentional or not the SiD tubes and control unit are cross compatible with those of the Joyetech eVic making it possible to shorten the SiD by using an eVic 18350 battery tube. It will be necessary to remove the white ring located just inside the top of the eVic battery tubes however. Both flat and button top 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are compatible with the unit. All 510 and 510 / eGo threaded devices will work with the SiD including Kanger T2 and T3 clearomizers by simply removing the top ring that creates the well around the connection.
Assembly & Use: The SiD will be complete with no assembly required. To operate you must first insert an 18650 battery by removing the base cap, inserting battery positive end first, and replacing the cap.
Turn On or Off; Menu option 3:
Once the battery is inserted the device will default to Out ON. Press the power button until you reach menu option 3 and Out ON/OFF is shown on the display. Press and hold for 2 seconds until you have the option to toggle between Out ON or Out OFF. The factory default is Out ON.
Switch between VV and VW; Menu option 7:
Press the power button until you reach menu option 7 and voltage/wattage is displayed. Press and hold for 2 seconds until you have the option to toggle between voltage and wattage, select the desired option and release until the display goes blank indicating the selection is set.
Adjust voltage; Menu options 1 & 2:
While in voltage mode; Press power button until you reach menu option 1 and voltage up is displayed, or menu option 2 and voltage down is displayed. Press and hold for 2 seconds until you are able to scroll in 0.1v increments to the desired setting and release. The display will go blank indicating the selection is set to memory.
Adjust wattage; Menu options 1 & 2:
While in wattage mode; Repeat the same steps as for voltage only scroll in 0.5w increments.
Check battery voltage; Menu option 4:
Press power button until you reach menu option 4 and batte voltage is displayed, press and hold for 2 seconds and remaining voltage will be displayed. Release until display clears to resume normal use.
LCD Display - Check resistance; Menu option 5:
Press power button until you reach menu option 5 and LCD Display is displayed, press and hold for 2 seconds until you can scroll between Voltage, Resistance, and battery. Press and hold Resistance for 2 seconds and the atomizer resistance will display. Wait until the screen clears to resume normal use.
LCD on/off; Menu option 6:
Press power button until you reach menu option 6 and LCD On/Off is displayed, press and hold for 2 seconds until you can toggle between LCD ON or LCD OFF and make your selection. Wait until screen clears to resume normal use.
Voltage will always be the default output setting. When there is a short circuit the device will stop working and display “short”. When the battery voltage is below 3.4 volts the device will stop working and display low-V, and when the input voltage is higher than 9 volts the device will stop working and display “HHH”.
